Udell (Del) Webb DDS formed the Udell Webb Leadership group in the 1980's. As a dentist in private practice, he could see that all his profit was sitting at the dental insurance companies. He set out to find out how insurance worked and how to maximize the patients dental and medical insurance benefits. He then told a few friends, who told theirs and now 20+ years later he is still researching and still spreading the word.

In 1999 Dr Webb gained access to the previously "proprietary" UCR information. He purchased the rights to distribute this information to dentists. (Much to the chagrin of many insurance companies, including one that shall go unnamed here - since the "real" 80th percentile became available). It's the only real thing, not our fees, not a survey. Millions of dollars in undercharges have now transferred from the insurance companies to the dentists who earned the fees and provided the services to patients. There is no reason to set your fees with a blindfold on. You can know exactly what your competitors are charging, exactly what the insurance companies are paying, and then base your fees on the dependable, reliable, and proven fees. There are no competitors in this area. Only one company collects the fee information for the insurance industry and this is the one Dr Webb contracted with. Thousands of dental offices access this database annually. They keep coming back because it works! It's the real thing. How many thousands, tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars do you leave on the table each week, month, and year because you don't have the real UCR table?

Dr Webb wrote the first Dental Insurance Column for Dental Economics. He wrote several articles which were used as cover articles, like the one on the left.

Dr Webb has written for Dental Town Magazine and others as well. There are some articles in the works for the future.

Dr. Webb has presented seminar information at every major dental meeting in the US. He has spoken at many regional meetings and consulted for individual offices. He continues to speak, but the changes caused by the current terrorist activities make many offices prefer to have the seminar on Audio-CD.
